220801BRE11111. August 2009 – Over the last few weeks there is only silence in this sector. No rumors about RedLime Project or Syndicate games. After the E3 2009 passed by without any news, there is not much hope among us here, that we will receive one signal again very soon. We will go subaqeous and do a little echolocation in the area. Nevertheless cvg’s Matt Martin insists on it’s informers statement, that there is something around. He claims that this classified information was delivered to him by a “source” on the end of march 2009. EA has not responded to requests for comment since then. In a latest statement about “old EA IPs to revive” EA’s Harvey Elliott only stated: “It’s with a different studio at the moment, so we passed over everything we had, talked it through with them… I don’t know if they’re actively on it, I’d have to go and search for it. I know I’m being cryptic, but it does speak to the fact that EA has a rich IP base. We might not make it – it may not be right even now to do it – but maybe the next time around it would be.”

This could describe the cooperation of Electronic Arts and Starbreeze Studios, who officially work together on two projects, from wich one is Bourne and another is RedLime, wich is claimed to be “a famous EA-franchise”. But nothing new is stated about what RedLime is. So it’s “all quiet on the western front” today. The only remarkable detail might be, that the very unofficial Starbreeze Studios watchblog collects these rumors carefully and conseqently sorts them into an own Syndicate category. The same do we and wait and see.
